As Pride Month gives way to July (and given these temperatures, maybe “Wrath” isn’t a bad descriptor), it’s important to remember one of the conceptual gifts that queer life has given all of us: redefining family.
Write with us! This thing is the perfect thing for you to do if you think writing is hard (or finding time for writing is hard), and especially if you haven’t been writing for a while. It’s also great if you have problems with getting past ideas that “you suck” (every first draft sucks, face it) or self-doubt.
He isn’t worried at all. He figures that since he’s not a person of color, he can “pass” if he needs to. His differences – his politics, religion, orientation, and relationship style – are not ones that leave visible marks on the skin. But they do leave traces all over the internet.
I won’t tell you that I’m queer. I won’t tell you that I’m NOT either.
