A direct quote from the finance minister of Israel today: "Nobody will let us cause 2 million civilians to die of hunger, even though it might be justified and moral, until our hostages are returned."
There is NOT A JUSTIFIABLE REASON to starve two million CIVILIANS to death. Period.
With public statements like that (and many, many more — see John Oliver’s episode on this) it is pretty obvious that the bombings of hospitals and journalists were probably not as accidental as claimed.
And before the people on my friends list say it, IDGAF who claims it’s okay to starve two million CIVILIANS to get what they want. I don’t care what race, nationality, religion, sexuality, gender, whatever they are. Russia has also targeted healthcare systems in Ukraine, and it’s just as heinous.
I have principles and integrity that I value much more than team loyalty.
And it is clear that some do not.
