Challenge Yourself And Improve Your Writing With Us This (and each) Weekend

There is an ongoing, free critique workshop – that’s been going for years – for those who are willing to put in the work. And you have an invitation to join it.

The regular participants include several multiply-published authors, so this isn’t just randos out there who don’t have a clue. More than a few stories from this ongoing workshop have made thier way into print.

Each weekend, we write a work – a poem, a story, whatever – based on or around some prompts. In this case, there’s four visual prompts – they’re all below and are already posted on the website. You’re free to choose just one or all of them, or somewhere inbetween. Then post your work at the website, and over the next week, critique the other folks who have posted stuff as well.

It’s behind a free login (you should be able to use a social login like Google or Facebook too) so that preserves your first publication rights. The backlog of inactive users (and old posts) are routinely scrubbed to keep your work safe. And really, none of us are interested in selling you anything. We just want feedback on our work too!

You can find the whole thing at https://obsidianflash.com.

Also, if you like the images, be sure to support the creators in some way, even if it’s just a "fav" on DeviantArt.
