Never forget: This land was made for you and me

To paraphrase Bruce Springsteen:

I’d like to share a song with you, that I guess is the greatest song ever written about America. And it’s written by Woodie Guthrie. And what’s so great about it is that it gets right to the heart of the promise of what our country was supposed to be about. And I’m not sure that it’s true anymore, but I know that it oughta be. And so I’d like to remind you that with countries, just like people, it’s easy to let the best of yourself slip away.

This land was made for you and me.
