I can’t believe it.

After three weeks of asking the iBookstore why they originally refused to put The Crimson Pact in the iBookstore, I finally got an answer.

There’s a border around the cover.

Without revealing anything (due to the NDA), let’s just say that’s not something I had any reason to suspect was the problem.

Were you ever able to get CP on the Kobo store? I noticed their application process is not exactly user-friendly.

And how are you applying to iBookstore? Are you going through an affiliate like Lulu?

It's not user-friendly, but I've not gotten things up there simply because I've gotten (re)overwhelmed. It's a matter of creating a very specific XML file for metadata; I've got all the references together, but just keep getting my attention yanked elsewhere from doing it.

I'm going directly to the iBookstore, though, not through an affiliate. I'll be opening doors for others to use me as a way into the iBookstore before the end of the month, and Kobo as soon as I get the process right.

Great, I'll be looking forward to that. I've already got stuff up on Amazon & B&N, but Kobo & iBookstore seem to have more barriers to entry.

    Thanks!
