The current state of generative AI/ML is impressive, but only at a superficial level.
Generative AI has made a new type of spam profitable, and it will impact all of us.
There is an increasing pattern of official-seeming news websites publishing slightly-altered copies of articles from more respected publications that also introduce factual errors.
No, an AI probably couldn’t write what *you* write. Could an AI write some of the crappy formulaic (and sadly, profitable) media that’s out there? Oh, yes, absolutely. That’s a totally different question, and why I support the WGA.
Things are going to get stranger than you imagine.
